Dr. R. Alex Hsi, M.D.

R. Alex Hsi, M.D. is a board certified Radiation Oncologist who received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1991. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan followed by a residency in Radiation Oncology at The University of Pennsylvania. He has served as an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania, Section Chief in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and Medical Director of the Prostate Cancer Center of Seattle. He is also Co-founder of the Peninsula Cancer Center in Poulsbo, Washington.

Dr. Hsi has performed prostate seed brachytherapy since 1997 and has treated over a thousand patients. In addition to prostate brachytherapy, Dr. Hsi’s areas of interest include stereotactic radiation therapy for prostate, lung cancer and photodynamic therapy. Dr. Hsi is the recipient of several peer reviewed grants and has served as principal investigator of multiple clinical trials involving prostate cancer research.
